The Client

Sunset Fencing is a leading residential and commercial fence contractor specializing in wood, vinyl, chain link, and wrought iron fences, as well as patio covers, gazebos, and decks.

The Challenge

Sunset Fencing has a reputation for being one of the best providers of fences, gates, and decks in the Central Valley. All the professionals at the company are experienced and well-established experts at what they do. Unfortunately, they did not have team members who could establish an online presence that reflected their industry experience.


Sunset Fencing required expert help in establishing a more prominent online presence to keep pace with newer competitors who started getting more business due to a better online presence. While the company already has an extensive portfolio of existing clients, it wanted to expand its presence and improve its client acquisition by becoming more prominent online. The work quality was already there, but Sunset Fencing needed a way to show their potential clients the work to attract more customers. The second aspect of the project was to optimize their website content to rank higher in search engines through our organic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) services. The project’s goal was to provide Sunset Fencing an advantage over their competitors regarding how easily potential customers could find them online and increase their reach and brand recognition.

The Solution

We began by discussing with Marcus and determining for which keywords he wanted to improve her Google organic exposure. After determining the keywords “fence company near me," “fence company Tracy," and “fence contractor Tracy CA” were important to him (along with many other smaller geo-specific terms), we created and optimized his new website for these phrases, making sure we didn’t interfere with his current rankings for “Tracy fence contractor.". We then continued to add SEO content to the website related to these phrases while also building backlinks across the web to Sunset Fencing's website. We optimized his Google Business Profile and used geo targeted mobile ads along with targeted direct mail to attract new leads.

The Results

We provided Sunset Fencing with a complete website overhaul along with geo-targeting SEO, and the results started showing quickly. The company had a better and more effective marketing tool for its services. There was a notable difference in the new type of audience that the website started to reach in just six months because of its prominent online presence. Sunset Fencing’s website began to pop up on the first page of search results for keyword phrase variations, allowing the opportunity to develop new leads. The result positively impacted the company’s brand recognition, getting Sunset Fencing the increased sales it sought to expand its business. The client is happy with the sudden surge of new leads that they can now convert to repeat customers and continue dominating the local market for fences, gates, patio covers
